DC offset

DC offset is a non-zero average level in a waveform — the whole cycle sitting above or below the zero line instead of centered on it.

In a looping wavetable frame it wastes headroom, tilts the spectrum with energy at 0 Hz, and can produce clicks or thumps when adjacent frames have different offsets and position sweeps between them. Centering each frame before export is routine wavetable hygiene.
