Wavetable frame

A wavetable frame is one single-cycle waveform occupying one slot in a wavetable; the number of frames sets how much timbral motion the table can hold.

Frames are ordered so that adjacent frames usually sound related, which lets a position sweep read as one evolving timbre instead of a sequence of unrelated waves. Tables range from a handful of frames to 256 or more, with the frame count fixed for a given wavetable.
