How to import wavetables into Codex
WavesSoftware synthVerified
Codex from Waves imports wavetables like this: iMPORT button converts any WAV into a wavetable automatically.
This guide gives the exact layout Codex expects, the step-by-step load, the Hyperwave export settings that match, and plain fixes for the import failures the documentation warns about.

What Codex expects
The oscillator's IMPORT button converts user WAV files of any length, bit depth, and sample rate into wavetables automatically; 64 wavetable slots (internal or imported). 1–5 second files recommended.
Step by step
- Export from Hyperwave as a packed mono WAV.
- Press IMPORT on Codex's oscillator and select the WAV — it is converted automatically.
Export settings for Codex
Codex has no dedicated export preset in Hyperwave.
Any WAV converts automatically — length, bit depth, and sample rate are free. The manual recommends 1–5 second files, so consider exporting fewer frames than the default preset's 256.
- Default — 2048 × 256
- 2,048 samples per frame × 256 frames · 32-bit float · 48 kHz
